Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have stepped forward to aid those affected by the devastating wildfires in Southern California.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who reside roughly 90 miles north of Los Angeles, visited the World Central Kitchen in Pasadena on Friday, January 10, to distribute food and essential supplies to victims of the Eaton Fire.

The couple focused on providing discreet support to relief efforts, engaging with affected families and elderly individuals while witnessing the resilience of the local community. They donated vital resources, served meals with World Central Kitchen, and offered emotional support to those impacted by the tragedy.
Joining forces with California’s First Partner, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, and Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo, Meghan and Harry also expressed gratitude to first responders, including firefighters and police from Los Angeles County.
Later, they met with World Central Kitchen founder José Andrés at the food distribution site, commending the tireless work of the relief teams. Through their Archewell Foundation, they have contributed financial aid and plan to remain involved in the ongoing recovery and rebuilding efforts with future visits.
Local news outlet FOX 11 shared footage of the couple alongside Andrés and Mayor Gordo as they interacted with volunteers and victims. Gordo praised their involvement, saying, “It’s great to see their genuine care. They uplifted the spirits of first responders and those affected.”
During their time in Pasadena, the couple also visited the command post at the Rose Bowl, where they were warmly welcomed. They toured areas devastated by the fires, meeting with impacted families and offering heartfelt support. “They’re very caring people, deeply concerned for their neighbors,” Gordo noted.

Meghan, a Los Angeles native, and Harry reportedly visited the World Central Kitchen anonymously earlier in the day. “No one knew they were there, serving food with masks on,” said Mayor Gordo, emphasizing their desire to work without drawing attention.
Their Montecito home has also served as a refuge for friends and loved ones who were forced to evacuate. In a statement on their official website, the couple highlighted the scope of the devastation and shared resources for those in need, including housing and supplies provided by organizations like World Central Kitchen, Airbnb, and Baby2Baby.
The Eaton Fire, currently the second-largest wildfire in Southern California, has burned nearly 14,000 acres with only 3% containment as of Friday. It has claimed at least five lives and caused widespread destruction, particularly in the Altadena area, where entire neighborhoods have been reduced to ashes. Nearby Pasadena has also faced significant threats.
Meghan and Harry’s ongoing efforts, both publicly and behind the scenes, underscore their commitment to aiding those in crisis and supporting communities in rebuilding their lives.
